Eritrea FIFA World Cup Football Schedule

November 10, 2023, the Eritrea national team has withdrawn from qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This decision by the Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) was confirmed by FIFA and CAF. Originally, on July 13, 2023 the Red Sea Boys were drawn in African preliminary qualification Group E, together with Morocco, Niger, Tanzania, Zambia and Congo. After Eritrea’s withdrawal CAF preliminary Group E consists of only five countries. Therefore each remaining country in this group will only play eight matches instead of ten as is the case in the other eight CAF groups (Group A, B, C, D, F, G, H and I).
